Edmont raise money for Christmas Jumper Day
The Edmont team donned their festive best for Save the Children on Friday 16th December, joining companies and individuals up and down the country by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day! The national day has become a big part of office Christmas celebrations around the UK, where staff members wear Christmas jumpers or outfits in order to raise money for Save the Children.
A fantastic effort was made by all, with jingle bells, Christmas lights, elf ears and glitter galore! As part of the festivities, the best jumper-owners were awarded a prize by Edmont’s Managing Director, Craig Morton. Edmont staff and visitors gave generously to the Save the Children fund on the day, and over the final week before Christmas. Keeping the collection going until the end of the year, with the aim of capturing as many last minute donations as possible, the final count was made today – with Edmont raising an impressive £82.13 for charity.
While great fun was had by all who took part, there is of course a serious side to Christmas Jumper Day. Taking part and raising money can help to solve some very serious problems, allowing Save the Children to save even more children’s lives around the world. The international charity bring essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children around the world who are missing out on the most basic support. We would like to thank all of those who gave generously and for those who took the time dress up on the day. We look forward to seeing Edmont raise money for Christmas Jumper Day in 2017!
